Dutch-Moroccan designer Laïla El Azzouzi
always had a passion for fashion and moroccan culture. The demand for traditional caftan was high in the Netherlands. In 2017 she started the Moroccan fashion brand MODEST ART with her sisters. A brand that offers unique, exclusive rental dresses for every woman.
As a designer and co-owner of Modest Art she knew that
she wanted to reach even more women with her passion.
Laïla was always looking for a way to preserve the Moroccan heritage.
With her signature style she decided to share her true creativity and passion
with woman all over the world.
In 2023 the Moroccan fashion brand ARTELIER was born. ARTELIER is a dutch based Moroccan fashion brand. All designs are inspired by Morocco’s colours, culture, heritage, traditions, shapes, people, architecture. Every fabric has a life
cycle that’s deeply connected to the land.
We work hand-in-hand with family-run atelier to make our caftan, belts. Hands, hearts and minds collaborate in the ARTELIER concept. Her goal is to honor Moroccan artisanship, improve the lives of craftspeople and their families and ensure hand-weaving skills continue to thrive.
Every piece our artisans create is made with
the greatest dedication and love. I hope that wherever my caftan find a home,
across the world, they bring an emotional connection and narrative with
Moroccan heritage.
